Why Tarot?

Should I get a Tarot reading done? Does it really work? Will it really answer my questions and tell me about my future? Can I trust the reading? Is it accurate? Such questions will surely come to your mind if you are new to tarot or if you do not understand the real purpose of tarot.

Firstly, we need to understand that tarot is not a tool to predict the future. But this doesn’t mean that tarot cannot tell you what lies in the future. It certainly can but tarot is not just a tool to foretell a future event but also to understand where your current energies are leading you and what guidance you need regarding that.

Your future events depend on your current energy pattern and are subject to change. When tarot shows that a particular endeavor may not be successful, it means that either the end result is not meant for you or you are not putting in the right efforts. Whatever be the case, you may further ask tarot what actions need to be taken in order to solve the problem. Here we need to know that tarot may suggest the solution but the action needs to be taken on your part.

Tarot cards are a divination tool. They are used as a medium to bring forth the messages from our higher self. Our subconscious mind holds the answers to all our questions. It knows our truth, soul path and what we really want in our life. The guidance that we receive from tarot comes directly from our higher self or the subconscious, so whether our logical/conscious mind believes it or not, it is exactly the guidance we need at the moment.

If the Tarot feels you are asking the wrong questions i.e. you are not being true to yourself (or trying to test tarot) and you are avoiding asking the questions you really need answers to then the Tarot may simply refuse to answer that particular question and will instead answer the real question you have in your mind. You need to understand here that this is all about the truth that prevails in your subconscious.

The answer/message comes in the first reading. Repeatedly asking the same question will only confuse you more. So if you use tarot for personal guidance and you keep repeating the same question, you will notice that either the combination of cards that comes up again will point out the same suggestion or tarot may simply stop answering your query. Tarot knows you better than you and what you consciously think about yourself. It is your core. Your subconscious guides you to pick the right set of cards.

It’s very important to understand that tarot imagery is not some game, it is a divination tool.
